WASHINGTON - Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.), issued the following statement after voting to pass the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act.
“My top priority since coming to Congress has been to improve the lives of Delawareans. The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act will substantially benefit families, workers, and small businesses in Delaware and across the country. While it does not include the robust version of the Child Tax Credit that my colleagues and I passed in 2021, the expansion of the tax credit in this package will still benefit 40,000 kids in Delaware. It includes new, low-income housing tax credits to create more affordable housing and restores R&D deductibility to create jobs and spur innovation. I’ve long said, if we can make it in America, we should - and the passage of the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act will help us do just that while putting more money in the pockets of hard-working Americans.”
