I am pleased to announce that my office is hosting a 2020 Congressional App Challenge!  The Congressional App Challenge is a competition to encourage middle and high school students to utilize and learn coding skills.

This competition is open to all Delaware students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. Students of all skill levels are strongly encouraged to participate! You can register for the 2020 Congressional App Challenge here. The deadline to register and complete your app is October 19, 2020. The Delaware winner will be selected at the end of the year by Congresswoman Blunt Rochester and a panel of judges.

In 2019, 48 states and over 300 Members of Congress hosted a challenge yielding thousands of application entries across the nation. The winners received a $250 Amazon Web Services credit and an invitation to the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill Coding Exposition in D.C. Their apps are also featured on House.gov and the Congressional App Challenge website.

You can download a promotional flyer here (or here for Spanish) and read about the Delaware 2019 Congressional App Challenge winners here. With questions, please visit the Congressional App Challenge website, email StudentSupport@CongressionalAppChallenge.us, or call my Wilmington office at 302-830-2330.
