As of Wednesday, November 6, our office will no longer be accepting new constituent casework as we transition to our Senate office. For assistance with an existing case, please call my Wilmington office at 302-830-2330. For assistance with opening a new case, please contact the Office of U.S. Senator Chris Coons

As we navigate this transition, our office will continue to serve Delawareans to the best of our ability. To streamline this process, our team has compiled answers to some commonly asked questions to help Delawareans get the assistance they need:

  1. I currently have a case open with your office. What happens to it?
    1. If you have an open case with my office, our casework team will continue to work on it and will contact each constituent to share any updates prior to our office’s official closing.
    2. If you have a question about your ongoing case and need to speak with a caseworker, please call my Wilmington office at 302-830-2330.
  2. What happens if my case is not resolved before your office officially closes?
    1. Our casework team is working hard to resolve as many cases as possible before our office officially closes.
    2. However, given that the response time for some cases with federal agencies can vary from weeks to months, if a case is not resolved before our office closes, constituents will have the option to transfer their case to the Office of U.S. Senator Chris Coons
  3. I am looking to get assistance with one of the following issues: 1) refund from the IRS, 2) obtaining Social Security and/or Veterans Benefits, 3) problems with Medicare, 4) renewing U.S. Passport and/or Visa, 5) Immigration help. Who should I contact?
    1. Unfortunately, our office is no longer able to open new cases with federal agencies such as the IRS, Social Security, or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
    2. For any new issue involving a federal agency, please contact the Office of U.S. Senator Chris Coons for assistance.
  4. I am in need of resources related to obtaining employment, securing housing, getting food assistance, accessing mental health services or something else. Can I still call your office?
    1. Yes. If you are experiencing an issue in obtaining employment, securing housing, getting food assistance, accessing mental health services or something else, please call my Wilmington office at 302-830-2330 to speak with a member of my staff.
