WASHINGTON - Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) announced that she would attend and serve on the Congressional Escort Committee for President Joseph R. Biden’s first Joint Congressional Address, as the President marks 100 days of the Biden-Harris Administration. “Having been with the President since the very first day of his campaign, it’s my distinct honor and privilege to not only witness his first Joint Congressional Address, but to accompany him to the chamber for this historic occasion,” said Blunt Rochester. “The Biden-Harris Administration has accomplished a great deal in the first 100 days - from administering 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, to passing the transformative American Rescue Plan, to rejoining the Paris Climate Accords and reaffirming America’s standing in the world. I look forward to hearing from the President his vision for how we can tackle infrastructure, create a clean energy future, and make life better for American families. And it will be a true honor to represent the State of Delaware as we watch the First State’s first President deliver his first Joint Address.” The President’s Joint Congressional Address can be viewed here. ### |
