WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) will be joined virtually by her guest, entrepreneur, and small business owner, Ebon Flagg of Delaware City, Delaware, at this evening’s State of the Union Address. Ebon owns Babe Styling Studio, a small business located in Wilmington, Delaware. In July of 2021, Blunt Rochester partnered with Babe Styling Studio and Delaware State University to host a community-focused COVID-19 vaccination event.
“I am so pleased to be able to have Ebon join me virtually as my guest for the State of the Union Address,” said Rep. Blunt Rochester. “Last summer, I had the opportunity to co-host a COVID-19 vaccination event at Babe Styling Studio alongside Ebon and Delaware State University to encourage the local Wilmington community to get vaccinated. I’m honored to have Ebon with me tonight to represent the many talented small business owners of Delaware who are supporting their local communities and running successful small businesses.”
Ebon Flagg is a resident of Delaware City, Delaware, and owns Babe Styling Studio located on North Market Street in the City of Wilmington. The moniker, "Babe," came as a term of endearment and dedication to his clientele and stands for Beauty Above and Beyond Expectations. He began barbering at the age of fourteen and got his first job in a barbershop while attending Rutgers University in Camden, NJ from 1991 to 1995. After college, he worked in several different industries but has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. He combined his talent in styling women’s hair and his love of cosmetology to open Babe Styling Studio in the City of Wilmington in 2009.
