WASHINGTON - Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) issued the following statement after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the United States House of Representatives.
“Hearing from President Zelensky this morning was both a humbling and inspiring experience,” said Blunt Rochester. “President Zelensky laid out in stark terms the human cost of Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine. He urged the United States’ continued assistance in pushing back on Russian aggression and updated us on the remarkable skill and resolve of the Ukrainian armed forces. Democrats and Republicans are united in our determination to provide Ukraine the assistance they need to bring about peace. President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people continue to be an inspiration to millions around the world - they are the frontline fighters for democracy - and the Congress of the United States stands firmly with them.”
