Blunt Rochester Hosts Tax Filing Information Session with the IRS and Delaware Taxpayer Advocate

WASHINGTON - Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) hosted a tax filing information session with special guests Yvette Brooks-Williams from the IRS and Wendy Figueroa from the Delaware Taxpayer Advocate. The tax filing season started on Monday, January 24, and ends on Monday, April 18. Blunt Rochester collected questions from Delawareans about their concerns including last year’s Economic Impact payment, the Advanced Child Tax Credit, the Earned Income Tax Credit, Unemployment Insurance, past tax returns, and more. Blunt Rochester encouraged Delawareans seeking help with IRS-specific issues to reach out to her office for further assistance.

“With this year’s tax season deadline approaching fast, it was so important for me to host today’s information session with the IRS and Delaware Taxpayer Advocate, to answer as many questions as possible from Delawareans about filing their 2021 taxes,” said Blunt Rochester. “I’m grateful to Yvette and Wendy for joining me today to share their expertise, which I hope provided clarity on this tax filing season.”
