Rep. Blunt Rochester Announces Opening of Preliminary Community Project Funding Applications Through Her Office

Blunt Rochester releases preliminary application deadline for Community Project Funding requests through her office for Fiscal Year 2025.

WILMINGTON, Del. – Today, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) announced that preliminary Community Project Funding (CPF) applications for the Fiscal Year 2025 (October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025) appropriations process are now open.

The current preliminary deadline for complete applications is Thursday, April 4, 2024, by close of business. However, all guidance and availability of FY2025 CPFs is subject to change and based on FY2024 pending the House Republican Conference’s release of FY2025 guidance. It is expected that as in previous years, a limited number of applications will be accepted, and acceptance of an application does not guarantee that a project is funded.

“Bringing critical federal resources to Delaware has always been a priority of mine and these projects must demonstrate real community need and show broad-based community support,” said Rep. Blunt Rochester. “While we are still waiting for official guidance from the House Appropriations Committee, it’s important to me and to the development of our state that Delaware nonprofits and governmental entities have access to the materials they need as early as possible to begin putting together their CPF requests for FY2025.”

“I urge the eligible entities to reach out to my office with their questions and to stay connected for any changes to the process,” Blunt Rochester continued.

For FY2024, Blunt Rochester, in coordination with U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, secured over $14,000,000 in community project funding that will go towards expanding affordable housing opportunities for families and seniors, developing workforce and job training programs, increasing access to affordable and quality health care and child care, and growing Delaware’s economy.
